WHAT SIZE GI SHOULD I ORDER?

WILL MY BLACK MARKET KIMONO SHRINK?

Like all 100% cotton gis, Black Market Kimonos will shrink if washed in warm or hot water and dried on a high-heat dryer cycle. To minimize shrinkage, wash your Black Market Kimono on a cold water setting and tumble dry on low or no heat, or hang dry. If you choose to attempt to shrink your Black Market Kimono with a hot wash and dry cycle, bear in mind that a long high-heat dry cycle on can damage the fabric fibers and collar and over-shrink your kimono. When choosing to dry your Black Market Kimono on a high heat setting, we recommend that you check your kimono after every five minutes for fit, and hang dry once proper fit is achieved.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO PROCESS MY ORDER? 

 

Our staff will process your order within 24 business hours. 

 

HOW WILL MY ORDER BE SHIPPED, AND HOW MUCH WILL IT COST? 

 

If you live in Northeast Ohio, we now offer a "Local Pickup" option at checkout. Once your order is placed, we will contact you to coordinate pickup. Pickup location is in the Chagrin Falls / South Russell, OH area. Otherwise, all Black Market Kimonos, rash guards, and packing cubes will ship via USPS and will typically arrive between 3-5 business days. Hats will be shipped separately by our specialized print provider. Since the hats are made to order, the processing and shipping times are a little bit longer and can range between 5-10 business days. You will have a chance to review your order and the shipping costs before you are asked to finalize your order and your credit card is charged. Please note that it is your responsibility to provide a safe and proven address. Please double check the correct spelling of the address when placing the order. We will not be responsible for packages claimed as lost when the tracking shows that they were delivered to the address provided. We apologize for any inconvenience.

 

HOW CAN I TRACK MY PACKAGE?


Once your order is shipped, you will receive an email with a tracking number. All USPS packages can be tracked at www.USPS.com.

WHERE DO YOU SHIP? 

 

We love to travel internationally, but shipping internationally is a bit more complicated. Accordingly, our current shipping setting only allow shipment to the United States (Alaska and Hawaii included). If you are interested in any of our products and you happen to be located outside the United States, please contact us and we will work to make arrangements to get an order to you!  

CAN YOU SHIP MY ORDER TO A HOTEL OR TEMPORARY RESIDENCE?

 

Due to the possibility of delays due to holidays, weather, etc., we cannot ship any orders to hotels or other temporary residences. Make sure someone will be at the location at all times, or the order will be canceled before it is processed.

 

WHAT IS YOUR RETURN/EXCHANGE POLICY?

We want you to be 100% satisfied with your Black Market Kimono and Black Market Kimono apparel. If any of your items are damaged or defective in any way upon receipt, simply contact us at BlackMarketKimonos@gmail.com within 30 days of the date of purchase and we will arrange for you to receive a replacement at no cost. 

 

If you ordered the wrong size by mistake, we are happy to exchange for the correct size. Contact us directly at BlackMarketKimonos@gmail.com within 30 days of the date of purchase with your request and we will process your exchange accordingly. Note that we cannot guarantee availability of all sizes and styles at all times.

 

If you've changed your mind and you decide that you don't want to keep your Black Market Kimono for any reason, contact us directly at BlackMarketKimonos@gmail.com within 30 days of the date of purchase with your request and we will process your return and refund.

 

Please note that all items must be returned in their original packaging and in new condition. No returns will be accepted on items that have been worn, trained in, washed, etc. Original shipping and return shipping charges will not be refunded. We will cover only reshipping fees from our location to you. All exchanges and refunds are ultimately pending approval upon receipt and inspection of the returned item(s). HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR MY CREDIT CARD TO BE REFUNDED AFTER AN ITEM IS RETURNED?  

 

Once your return is received and inspected by the customer service staff (usually within 72 hours of receipt), your refund will be processed and a credit will be automatically applied to your credit card or original method of payment. Please note that, depending on your credit card company, it may take an additional 2-10 business days after your credit is applied for it to post to your account. For safety/privacy concerns we have no access to this information, and a phone call to your bank and credit card company is the best way to track the progress of the refund.

CAN I WEAR MY BLACK MARKET KIMONO IN COMPETITION?

 

Rulesets vary from organization to organization, and we recommend contacting the event's organizers to learn what they do and do not allow. Unfortunately, Black Market Kimonos, like all ripstop kimonos, are NOT allowed in IBJJF competition.
